Our Chess Story

Chess Whitts Academy started with Craigh Whittaker in Jamaica N.Y. One day his pastor asked him have you ever played chess. That question forged a vision in Mr. Whittaker to start learning the game and teaching it in his after School program, that led to teaching it in his children school P.S 134, then the pandemic hit. His close friend who operates 10 school within the 5 Boroughs asked if he could teach chess virtually i said yes reluctantly, over the course of the pandemic i taught 5 High Schools in Brooklyn virtually. Now we are teaching chess to underserved communities locally in Librty City South Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and internationally in Kingston Jamaica, Mandeville, and Kenya Africa. This is only made possibel by the Lord Jesus and our sponsors and clients. We will continue to Encourage Communities through Chess Education, Health, and Mentorship.
